HELLO!
My name is Bryant and I founded Relative in 2023. I have been in coffee shops and roasteries since 2010 and won best roaster in Minneapolis at Dogwood Coffee in 2018.
Relative is a passion project that combines my knowledge of roasting, photography, and design to create a brand that is fun, welcoming, and colorful!
When I am not operating Relative I work in coffee education teaching others how to roast coffee. If you are an aspiring roaster thinking of exploring the business, you should join me and the Mill City education team for a class at Mill City Roasters: Roasting 101!

CAFE CULTURE
Meeting customers that became regulars at cafes is what signed and sealed our career. These relationships and connections are everything and remains the best part of working in this industry.
Whether it is an event, exchange emails, or a message shipped with your roasted coffee, it is humbling to share this craft with you and build connection.
AUGUST 2023
THE START OF RELATIVE
Plans for Relative started at the end of 2022 and finally at the beginning of August 2023 we launched our online store.
Operations are currently focused on e-commerce and events. As Relative grows, wholesale operations and pop ups are the future dream.
LOOKING FORWARD
As we grow, we see more possibilities around events, branding, and sustainability.
Our first anniversary in August of 2024 we switched from generic bags with printed labels to recyclable and full color printed bags from Roastar packaging. In 2025 we explored creative packaging with carbon neutral bags from Dutch Pak in The Netherlands.
