A clean and refreshing cup with notes of sweet tea, red apple, cocoa, and white grape

Roast level: Light-Medium
Processing method: Washed
Region: Nariño

Producers: FUDAM, Women Producers
Varietals: Castillo, Caturra, Colombia

This coffee is part of the women producers program from Cafe Imports and supplies a premium on top of the per pound price of coffee. This premium can open up opportunities to invest in equipment for coffee production, or go toward life needs like healthcare, daycare for kids, education, and more.

Coffees from Colombia offer complex and approachable cups that have a lovely balance of sweetness, acidity, and body rolled into one. We are not able to set this cup down, and we always want more!

Brewing ratio recommendation (grams of coffee : water)

1:17 to start - adjust the water ratio to 16g for a stronger cup, and 18g for a lighter cup

About FUDAM:

Fundación Agraria y Ambiental Para el Desarrollo Sostentible (FUDAM) is a 300-member association of growers that was founded in the year 2000 by just seven producers who shared a vision of sustainable agriculture as well as environmental protection and development.

This group of smallholder women producers lives in and around the small municipality of La Unión in Nariño, where the terrain differs greatly from in other coffee-growing areas like Cauca: Instead of walking up from the town to the farms, as elsewhere, here the towns are at such high elevation that the farms are typically lower elevation, surrounded by high peaks and rough road.
